By buying things that are made ethically by companies that act ethically, we can effortlessly make the world a better place.

Buying ethically means trading with companies which don’t exploit labour, the environment or animals. We can also make choices to avoid products or companies that have a poor track record.

Why buy ethically?

Every dollar that we spend is a vote for more of what we spend it on. We all want a high standard of living, but it may be time to take a look at just what that means. For example, when we buy from the local farmers market, it's a good feeling that our food is coming from a local grower and that we're sustaining their family as well as likely getting higher quality produce.

Village Scale Economy:

I 've taken to trying to keep my dollars local. It just feels good to me to support local folks and I get that warm, fuzzy feeling when I support my neighbors and see the appreciation for my trade. I definitely don't get that feeling when I spend money at megacorp, knowing that there is no personal connection or appreciation for my business.
