FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I have to sit on the floor?
Nope. We have back-jacks for floor circles and a couple chairs and a couch for those assisting and those with physical difficulties.
I only eat carrots if they're raw, pickles on Sundays, and tend to faint if my greens aren't steamed ahead of time.
William and I were used to cooking for groups of 50 to 60 people when we lived in intentional community. From that experience we have adapted a vegetarian menu, with substitutes for vegans that has been working well in a general sense. We can accommodate individual dietary exceptions from this set-up, but you have to let us know a couple weeks ahead of the workshop, please.
For the Ecospection Workshops, Stuart with Wild Earth adventures, is a chef during the winter, and is fully trained in providing yummy food for everyone! Same applies for special diets.
Is there religion involved here?
No. and Yes. Our belief is that we are all part of "God, Spirit, Nature, All that Is" and we all have our own perfect connection to that Divine source. We encourage that communication and discourage the blind adherence to rules that are not serving us in our lives or our world. Our vision is to walk together in a new spirituality, one that honors peoples from all beliefs and is based in love. See our Humanity's Team and Conversations With God pages.
Can I bring my kids?
Our workshops are for adults and we don't have childcare set up at this time. That is not to say we don't like kids..(.If you really need to figure this one out, have our people talk with your people)
Wild Earth Adventures has family hiking trips, not associated with workshops. See Closer to Home Page for link.
I'm allergic to animals.
Sorry. We have a cat and will be getting a dog or two shortly. We do clean the house before workshops, though!
How strenuous are the reconnecting with nature activities?
These activities are designed with a particular focus in mind and have a time limit. Only your natural attractions can lead you to that focus, whether that means climbing up the mountainside or sitting in front of a tree during that time period, it's up to you.
