Simply paradise ! Carson National Forest surrounds the town of Taos. It offers hiking trails, biking trails, maintained 4-wheel drive roads, camping facilities, cross country ski trails, a whole mountain range of pristine wilderness to connect with! The Rio Grande River runs just west of the town offering boating excursions, swimming and fishing opportunities. Winter visitors have several ski areas to choose from: Taos Mountain, Red River, Angel Fire, and Sipapu.
