03/11/2004: ""Tomorrow's God" NewBook by Neale Donald Walsch"
Went to Santa Fe to hear Neale Donald Walsch explain a bit about his new book, "Tomorrow's God". It was just a quick book-signing presentation so he didn't go into too much detail. The main just was that God says that in the next 20 to 30 years (possibly sooner) our world will adapt a new spirituality as we have never known it before and then goes into visions of what that looks like. He talked about Humanity's Team (see our web page for more on this) and how there are over 8,000 people in the United States and I can't remember how many more in the rest of the world who have already joined this grass roots movement that the CWG foundation has outlined. Here are my ideas....
The Humanity's Team outline already has suggested the formation of groups who focus on topics such as The New Spirituality in Family, The New Spirituality in Religions and in Relationships. In going through my own processes of change, my insight is that we REALLY need a whole new support system on a social level. We have to learn how to listen to each other. To do this, we have to learn how to listen to ourselves, first. When's the last time you allowed yourself to really be heard without filtering what you had to say. When's the last time you listened to a friend without having to say anything back -- just to allow them to be? That would be impolite, wouldn't it? Why do we only talk to people behind closed doors and in weekend workshops? How do we all come out of the closet together?
It simply takes practice. Like learning to play the guitar. You start behind closed doors and then only let your best friends listen to your progress. Soon, if you stick with it, people will start asking you to play and then sing along with you when you do! Well, I am completely committed to learning how to play that guitar and it is my highest wish that others will want to sing along and join in with their own instruments!
Inspired for the moment, Lynn
